The rental of Torveporten in Valby is about to begin

Torveporten

The residential property Torveporten in Valby has now advanced in the construction phase, allowing the rental to begin. This is marked with the first open house on Sunday, November 26th.

The construction is still at its highest at Torveporten in Valby, where we, together with Nrep, are building both student residences, office spaces, and rental apartments. Although the construction site is still quite lively, the project company behind Torveporten is ready to begin the rental of the apartments.

Amid green oases, budding community, and a palette of options for the active, urban life enthusiast lies the residential property Torveporten at the former Grønttorv in Valby. The centrally located property encompasses over 170 quality residences with 2-5 rooms ranging from 54 to 125 square meters. There is something for every taste and need.

As of today, there is still plenty of activity on the construction site, where Balder and Nrep are constructing both student residences, office buildings, and rental apartments in a 50/50 joint venture. The rental, divided into three stages, will begin shortly for the rental apartments. The first stage consists of a total of 53 residences, ready for expected occupancy in the spring of 2024.

"It's a bit of a milestone we've reached. Being able to kickstart the rental is a testament to the fact that the project is truly progressing, and the move-in date is approaching. Torveporten completes the final part of Grønttorvet in Valby, making it the icing on the cake for the entire area when people can move in," says Claus Nielsen, project manager at Balder.

The rental start is marked with an open house event on Sunday, November 26th, from 13:00 to 14:00, where you can see a sample residence, meet Balder's rental team, responsible for the rental, and chat with your potential new neighbors.

Close to public transport, shopping, and green areas
Torveporten is just a stone's throw away from Ny Ellebjerg Station, which will be renamed Copenhagen South from December 2023 and will also include a metro station from 2024. In other words, Torveporten residents will be close to one of the largest traffic hubs in the capital.

"Torveporten has a central location close to public transport, good shopping opportunities, and green areas. Grønttorvsparken is just a stone's throw away and, with its 23,000 square meters, serves as the focal point for outdoor activities and community in the district. In other words, the property has an optimal location," says Mohamad Awad, investment manager at Nrep.

The residences are designed by Arkitema and are characterized by Nordic minimalism and functional floor plans. Claus Nielsen from Balder says:

"We have made an effort to create a range of modern and inviting homes tailored to the various needs of the new residents. We look forward to starting the rental process and seeing the property come to life when the first moving trucks enter the area."

Torveporten will be rented out in three stages with move-ins throughout 2024. You can learn more about the project and the open house event and sign up for the interest list here: www.torveporten.dk
