Do like Henriette and get financial support for your neighbourhood event

Henriette

We have launched the concept Balder Heart Funds, making it easy for you to organise events for your neighbours.

Did you know that you can receive financial support from Balder to host community-building events? Henriette from our Elsehus property in Ørestad has taken advantage of this opportunity to organise a series of cosy and educational dog training sessions.

At Balder, we want to create strong foundations for vibrant communities. That is why we have launched a concept called Balder Heart Funds, making it easy for you to organise events for your neighbours.

If you have a good idea for a community-building activity, all you need to do is apply for (co)funding from us. This could be anything from flea markets, talks, bingo nights, Christmas crafts or shared dinners to something completely different – such as the dog training sessions that Henriette from Ørestad organised:

“Since getting my dog, I have enjoyed many walks in the area, where I have met lots of other dog walkers with their lovely dogs. Many of them live in Balder properties in Ørestad. That is why I got the idea to organise dog training with exercises based on our everyday life here in Ørestad South,” says Henriette, who owns the dog Perle.

She continues:

“It has been great that the training took place locally, so between sessions we could practise in the same surroundings. Thanks to the Balder Heart Funds, we were able to make it all happen.”

With financial support, Henriette was able to hire a professional dog trainer who taught participants both theory and practice. The class was for young dogs aged 20 weeks to 2 years, and six dog owners signed up.

It is that easy

If you have an idea for an event you would like to organise for yourself and your neighbours, simply send an email to event@balder.dk with the following information:

  • A short description of the event and its purpose
  • Date and time of the event
  • Expected number of participants
  • Which expenses you would like funded

The only requirement is that the event is open to residents in your property (or Balder properties in the local area).

We are also happy to make shared facilities available and to help promote the event, for example via our app.

The Balder Heart Funds can be used for materials, catering, activities or entertainment. As a rule, you pay for purchases or bookings upfront, after which Balder will reimburse the amount to your account upon presentation of receipts.

We look forward to hearing about your great idea and to helping strengthen the sense of community even more at your property.
